ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, the biggest #cricket# event of this year have started yesterday, 19th Feb 2011. There are 14 nations participating in the biggest battle of the year. This time ICC world cup 2011 is jointly hosted by India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka (no Pakistan). The event will comprise of 49 matches and will be a 43-day mega show. This year’s mascot Stumpy was unveiled at a gala event held in Sri Lanka. Stumpy is a young dedicated cricket loving elephant, whose name was chosen from a contest, in which participants from all over the world chose the name, ”Stumpy”. There are 2 groups of 7 teams each. All the teams will face each other to qualify for the quarter finals. 4 teams from each group will qualify for the quarter final and they will be playing against the other group teams.
